Corporate team sharing food together at a communal table after a culinary team building experience

Group & Corporate Culinary Experiences

Hands-On Culinary Experiences That Build Connection, Confidence, and Community

Great Lakes Sourdough offers guided culinary experiences designed to strengthen how people connect, communicate, and work together. Participants learn traditional skills such as sourdough breadmaking, bagels, pizza, and fermentation while working side by side in a calm, structured environment.

Everyone has a role in the process, creating opportunities for collaboration, problem solving, and shared accomplishment.

Programs are intentionally adapted to the needs of each organization and can support client appreciation, staff appreciation, team building, leadership development, wellbeing initiatives, and community connection.

The impact extends beyond the session, as participants leave with practical skills, shared memories, and experiences that often continue at home, within workplaces, and throughout communities.

Programs are offered in Kingston, Ontario at one of our partner kitchens, and in Prince Edward County at the County Food Hub, or at a kitchen arranged by the participating organization.

Program Leadership

Programs are developed and delivered by Lisa Robitaille, M.A., founder of Great Lakes Sourdough. Lisa has taught hundreds of hands-on sourdough, bread, pizza, and fermentation workshops throughout Kingston and Southeastern Ontario. Her teaching combines traditional food skills with clear, structured instruction designed to build confidence through direct experience.

Through Great Lakes Sourdough, she has worked with individuals, private groups, and organizations, guiding participants through meaningful, hands-on learning that emphasizes patience, collaboration, and shared accomplishment. Her work is further informed by graduate studies in Human Systems Intervention, a field focused on how people learn, communicate, and function within groups and organizations. This combination of practical teaching experience and formal study helps shape experiences that support communication, cooperation, and lasting connection.
