Sourdough Pizza Dough

This hands-on sourdough pizza class is designed for people who want to understand sourdough while actually working with it. Over two hours, we focus on the early stages of fermentation, dough handling, and timing, using pizza as a practical and forgiving way to learn.

We mix sourdough pizza dough together and talk through what matters most when working with natural fermentation. You’ll see and feel how the dough changes, learn how to read it, and understand how to continue the process at home without rushing or guessing.

During class, you’ll stretch and bake a small pizza made from prepared dough to enjoy. This gives you a clear sense of shaping, baking, and what properly fermented dough should feel like.

Taking it home

You’ll leave with your own sourdough pizza dough in a container, ready to rest and ferment in the refrigerator. The dough can be baked starting the next day, kept refrigerated for up to five days, or frozen for up to fourteen days, giving you flexibility to bake when it suits you.

You’ll also take home a small jar of freshly fed sourdough starter, ready to go straight into your fridge so you can take time to get comfortable before using it.

Ingredients and options

We use simple ingredients and classic toppings, including fresh mozzarella, sauce, and pesto. Vegan cheese is available at no additional cost. Please send us an email if you’d like it.
