Teen Intro to Sourdough Class
Curious about sourdough? Not just learning about it, but actually making it yourself?
This hands-on class is designed for teens aged 13-16 and one parent. Parents (or grandparents) are there for support if needed, while the teen takes the lead in the kitchen.
Together, you will score and bake a fully proofed sourdough loaf as a team. You will see how each cut affects the way the bread rises and opens in the oven, and we will walk through fermentation in a clear, practical way.
Each teen will mix their own sourdough pizza dough by hand. This is their individual work, with parents stepping in only if needed. The goal is to build real confidence working with dough.
We will then bake and enjoy sourdough pizza together, with each teen shaping and building their own pizza, with a bit of help if needed.
We will also go over how to keep your sourdough starter alive and how to feed it.
What You’ll Take Home
